How UniSync helps
Canvas can already publish a private calendar feed for your courses. UniSync uses that feed to place assignment deadlines in one organized view, so you can review what is due without switching between course pages.
The calendar feed is private. Treat its URL like a password: copy it only into a service you trust and remove the connection if you no longer want UniSync to use it.
Set it up
- Open Canvas and choose Calendar.
- Select Calendar Feed near the bottom of the Calendar page.
- Copy the private iCalendar URL that Canvas provides.
- Install UniSync, choose Canvas, and paste the calendar-feed URL when prompted.
- Confirm your courses in UniSync and use the organized assignment view to plan upcoming work.
Common questions
- Does UniSync need my Canvas password?
- No. You sign in directly with Canvas when needed; UniSync does not receive or store your Canvas password or session cookie.
- Can this work outside BYU?
- Yes. Students at other colleges can use UniSync when their Canvas account provides an iCalendar feed.
